NEW PATIENTS

ANNUAL CHECK UPS

Your pet’s annual vet check-up will include a total physical exam with a thorough investigation of your pet from nose to tail. Dr. Parish and her team will ask quite a few questions to get to know your pet and their particular risk factors.

Bring a notebook to each visit! Keep an accurate medical record and note.

  • Procedures
  • Vaccinations
  • Pet’s elimination habits
  • Any physical changes
  • Unusual occurrences
  • Small shifts in your pet’s behavior, including urinary marking habits, mood swings, diet, and routine modifications.

These seemingly unrelated occurrences may help explain results of your pet’s medical tests. Keeping a pet medical history log helps you provide complete records to any veterinarian.

VISITS WITH EASE

If your pet is anxious, fearful, or aggressive when visiting the vet let us know ahead of time! We can provide longer appointment times and Dr. Parish may want to provide anti-anxiety or sedation medication that can be given at home, an hour before your appointment. We can also help with car sickness and have ideas for making carriers and crates more welcoming for your pet! Just let us know before your appointment.

We also like to provide “happy visits” for animals that are afraid to see us schedule a brief 5 minute visit that includes a walk around, sit on the scale, and some treats and loves from the team.

Call (208) 934-5626 or email us if you have any questions about these services.

SPECIALISTS REFERRAL

We provide many in-clinic services. There are times however, that Dr. Parish may refer you to a specialist, if your pet needs to undergo a procedure that requires more precise knowledge and experience.

Specialists are veterinarians who completed advanced studies in internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, emergency care, etc.

Once referred, please connect with the specialist’s clinic to make an appointment. They will bill you for their services directly.

Payment Options

PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF SERVICE

In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we do not bill. We are a small clinic and are unable to support accounts receivable.

FORMS OF ACCEPTED PAYMENT

DEBIT OR CREDIT

We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks, money orders, and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.

When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Gooding Vet understands this so we accept the CareCredit credit card. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into monthly installments. You can call in your application over the phone for immediate approval or apply online at www.CareCredit.com.

SCRATCH PAY LOAN

Gooding Vet also accepts ScratchPay. ScratchPay is a personal loan. Checking your plan option will NOT affect your credit score. ScratchPay approves more pet parents, with affordable rates. There are no hidden fees, no pre-payment penalty, and no deferred interest. Find your payment plan at www.ScratchPay.com.

PRE-PAYMENT PLANS

For those wellness events that can be planned, we offer pre-payment plans. We will create an estimate for your pet’s needs and you can pay as much or as little as you have, when you have it. Once the estimate has been paid the services will be rendered. These plans are non-transferable between pets, services, or clients and are non-refundable. Planned services may include: New puppy vaccination package (3 sets of vaccinations, deworming, physical exam), adult wellness (physical exam, vaccinations, fecal float +/- deworming), geriatric wellness (physical exam, bloodwork, vaccinations, fecal float +/- deworming), dental cleanings (pre-anesthetic bloodwork, anesthesia, full oral exam, prophylaxis).

PET INSURANCE

We highly recommend pet insurance! When your pets are sick, insurance helps you get the diagnostics, treatment, and medicine they need to get better. When they’re hurt, insurance helps you give them the emergency care, surgery, and rehab therapy it takes to recover. Some plans provide a preventative care pack that helps you keep up with yearly check-ups, vaccines, and lab tests that keep them healthy. The AVMA has more information about pet insurance:

WE WANT TO BE HERE TO CARE FOR YOUR PETS

This veterinary clinic is a small business and must be managed with care in order to maintain facilities, provide high quality of care, and support the humans that work here.

Just like all our fellow small town, locally owned businesses, Gooding Vet is currently trying to combat the insane changes in our economy. The cost of every product and medication, as well as maintenance of the equipment we use, has been increasing every quarter since 2021. Our property taxes, electricity, garbage/water, and natural gas have also been raised. Furthermore, we are now combating staffing challenges which include competing with huge international corporations for employee wages, hours, and benefits.

Consequently, we will be increasing the price of our services as needed in order to keep the clinic healthy and support our team. We believe in transparency in all things. If you have questions, about our fee schedule, please contact us: call (208) 934-5626 or email us.
