SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
If you live in Gooding or the surrounding area and need a trusted veterinarian to care for your pets – you’ve found one!
Your animals’ health and well-being are very important to our Gooding Vet Team. We take every possible measure to give your animals the care they deserve.

Wellness
Not just your basic vaccination and parasite control. Talk face to face with your veterinarian about your furry friend’s health concerns. We focus on education and communication. Lots of snuggles and treats with our gentle exams.

Telemedicine
Gooding Veterinary Clinic utilizes Zoom meetings to facilitate our virtual visits. We often use virtual visits for direct discussions with Dr. Parish. This may include further direction for home treatment, explanation of previous diagnosis or lab work, or in depth questions about nutrition or behavior. Virtual visits also work well for Quality of Life assessments and some rechecks.

Nursing
Schedule regular pedicures, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, and weight checks with our team of nurses. These are performed under the supervision of our veterinarian so let us know if your pet might appreciate some calming or anti-anxiety pre meds, special restraint, or a friend.

Boarding
Trust us with your pet’s care if you’re traveling or just need a break from their regular medication and treatment routines. Our nurses can give medications and provide treatments under the supervision of our veterinarian. Includes care for diabetes, bandaging/wounds, kennel rest, oral medications, etc.
Welcome.
YOUR SMALL TOWN VETERINARIAN
Dr. Amber Parish is a licensed Idaho veterinarian caring for your furry companions. Your animals’ health and well-being are very important to her and the Gooding Vet team. They take every possible measure to give your animals the care they deserve.
This clinic has been providing veterinary care to the Gooding area since the 1960s. It has remained in its original location, undergoing several big renovations through the decades. Many young Gooding-ites grew up in this veterinary clinic experiencing firsthand the compassion and hard work involved in caring for Gooding’s pets and herds.
Dr. Parish bought Gem Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Jack Amen in March 2018. She re-branded the practice as Gooding Veterinary Clinic. The rich history and community involvement of Gooding Veterinary Clinic will be proudly continued by its newest veterinarian, Dr. Amber Parish.
Dr. Amber graduated from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She also has two associate degrees from the College of Southern Idaho and a bachelors degree from the University of Idaho.
Although she moved around a lot as a child, the Magic Valley has been her “home base”. Her mom and step-dad raise cattle and farm nearby in Filer, Idaho.
Dr. Parish and her two daughters enjoy anything outdoors. Horseback riding, kayaking, skiing, and snowboarding are their favorites. The family is also involved in 4H and orchestra. They appreciate live music and all three are artistic.

What pet people are saying …
“We really love taking our dogs here. They are very caring and listen to our concerns. I highly recommend people take their animals here. I want to thank them for how caring they are with our fur babies.”
Mae Martinez
”Dr. Parish is very good. She does everything she can to make our pets comfortable and relaxed during their exams. The staff goes out of their way to make sure that pets and parents have everything they need. I would recommend this clinic over any.”
Amanda Ayers
Dr. Parish is the most compassionate veterinarian I’ve ever encountered. She truly cares about my boys (dogs), & goes above & beyond for them. From sitting on the floor of the lobby to calm my anxious senior, to hand delivering meds an hour away for my sick boy, she’s just an amazing human being.”
Cara Pesci
“They were the only vet in the area that would take my dog. They were very helpful and got my pet the help she needed, and they did it at an amazing price. Friendly people great service, great price!”
Brooks Phelps

”Dr. Parish really cares & listens. We’re lucky to have her in the community! Smokey is feeling better already! Thanks again!
Val Warren

Jaelyn Lockwood
“The staff is amazing and caring. My daughters puppy (18 month old Great Pyrenees) is super scared and timed at the vet and feels better if we bring our other dog and the entire staff is super sweet and loving to both of the dogs no matter who the patient is that day. Dr. Parish and her staff truly care about the pets they take care of, we live in another city but the drive is worth the care we get at this clinic!!”
Brandi Olive
“What a wonderful clinic! We take all of our dogs here and I would recommend them to anyone! It is the cleanest clinic I have ever been in and my dogs will go right in the front door!”
